It is my very first time using texture to make this art work. As you can tell there is no way any other camera can able to get this kind of picture naturally (if there is, please share to me how you do it icon smile Playing with Texture ). I love to take picture naturally with slightly warm tones and sharp images, but after I see some of the wedding photo from other blogs and photographers, I am inspired to use texture to enhance the photo and this is the first experiment.

I am using two different texture to create the picture above, and some tweaking in photoshop, it gives me this color and grain. I am new in photoshop and I love some of photography blog they willing to share their techniques how to enhance the images, click this LINK to see the tutorial that I view and tried.

Photoshop VS Lightroom

I have many feedback about what software is good for editing photo and also image processing. I believe many photographer knows about the famous adobe program, Adobe Photoshop, and just few years recently Adobe introducing powerful image processing Adobe Lightning. Both of the software are really powerful for image processing. I often hear that many famous photographer change their software from photoshop to lightroom due efficiency development approach for develop tons of image, but I also heard people change from lightroom to photoshop because there is a need to edit one or few images extra attentions and details, or if you have thick wallet, buy both. Both offers great feature for editing picture and both also offer expensive price tag for my pocket, so if you are under tight budget and confuse which one you want to choose, perhaps this can help you to decide.

Lightroom pros:

  • Super fast image editing
  • logical workflow progression
  • quick metadata and keyword insertion
  • much faster editing and processing of large number of photo

Lightroom cons:

  • Have to import images to work
  • Slows down when importing 10,000 over images in one catalog
  • Not a good choice to edit one or two images

Photoshop pros:

  • Do not need to import photo
  • Has ability to customize processing of RAW images with Photoshop actions
  • Histogram is specialized to the chosen color space

Photoshop cons:

  • Less precise editing features in Bridge
  • Not a really good choice to edit a lot of images

I have installed both software in my laptop and both software are really amazing, but my personal preference i love lightroom more than photoshop. I take a lot of pictures in one event. I prefer to have many shoots and pick some of best shoot and I need software that can edit a lot of pictures in one cycle edit, but I will use Photoshop to edit one photo and turn it into art.

What is your preference? my comment box is ready for any though ^^
