I love Bali, I have been there many times and yet I still love to go there again and again. Every visit in Bali I have different experience and this time not only visiting beach and mountain in Bali, but also I visit superb underwater life in Bali. It is indeed memorable holiday and really refreshing and also superb relax time in Bali. The island is famous for the beauty of the beach as well as mountain. One of hot destination for tourism internationally.

If you have visit Bali or googling place in Bali, Tanah Lot is among the highest recommendation for you to go to visit for their sunset. This is the place where many people send their honeymoon trip, proposing, as well as favorite wedding photo. The place is really beautiful with reddish sky and sometimes you can see bright golden color.

Every time I go to Tanah Lot, I do seeing different sky color and even in this trip, I went twice and seeing two different color of sky as well as I am not bored by the beauty of the place. Sunset is really beautiful and it is indeed superb place to visit.

Restive effect – Lightroom Tutorial

I am a big fans of Adobe Lightroom, really big big fans as almost entire of my photo are develop using Lightroom and it is indeed really a great product. There are few advantages that you can find using Lightroom when you are editing your picture but today topic I would not discuss about that, or rather today I wanna share how to make restive effect popping out from your picture.

restive effect 480x318 Restive effect Lightroom TutorialThis is the picture that I too from Tioman during my dive trip, I personally love this one as it is really bring memory back and also the environment, beach at behind really bring out the feeling of relax. so I want to bring more details and use restive effect to this picture to bring out details as well as sharpness. Now the question is how do I do this?

I will divide this tutorial into two areas, one is tone, another one is presence. First lets go to tone area. Lets talk about Tone.

Increase exposure for a little, as it will bring more light, then put recover to 60, fill light to the max, then get black to 73. So my picture will be looks like more colorful and you will notice the different significantly by doing this.

Next we go to presence. put clarity and vibrance to max +100 to really make the color sharp, then decrease saturation to -86 so each color blend really well. This saturation is based on preference but I like each color blend nicely and the sharpness we still can found.

The 501st Legion in HOPE Worldwide Charity Bazaar

I am really excited when I heard about the 501st legion is coming to HOPE Charity bazaar.  I am not die hard fans of star wars but I do really enjoy watching it and I love seeing Jedi fighting and also light saber sword clashing each other. Seeing the hard core fans dressing in 501st legion really cool, and their main objective is to raise fund for HOPE Worldwide.

stromtrooper 260x360 The 501st Legion in HOPE Worldwide Charity BazaarIntroduce you Storm trooper, the most common costume and also must have in the 501st legion troop. Seeing them remind me few scene of star wars with flying laser and also light saber. I have a chances to ask how they get the costume, and they said all the costume they import from US to Malaysia and they pay quite big sum of money for the courier under fragile category.

DSC 0156 239x360 The 501st Legion in HOPE Worldwide Charity BazaarThe most outstanding among the outfit, from my personal opinion would be this imperial troop, from top to bottom covered with red color, with long robe touching ground as well long sword. The mask and sword are imported from US as well but the robe and gloves are actually hand made to save cost as well as to make a perfect fit. Smart move I can say.

I even believe the mask can be used for diving purpose with proper seal rubber and the pipe can be connect with air tube. I believe this character is Tie Pilot (pardon me if I am wrong as I am not die hard fans of star wars). This costume even comes with voice manipulator, to change their voice to be sounds like real when we heard in the movie.

I like the third episode of the star wars, where it tells how the good become bad, and the first appearance of Dark Vader, and start galaxy wars. This is the most real costume that I have ever seen and even you can hear the ‘breath voice’.

Chilling Fraser Hill

I just come back from Fraser Hill, which need to drive roughly two hours from Kuala Lumpur to the north. I seldom heard about Fraser hill compare with Cameroon Highland, or  Genting Highland, or even Bukit tinggi. These are places that really wellknown in Malaysia for their chill environment as well as many attraction.

I manage to take this great photo that required me to wake up around 7 am and then go outside from my hotel room, and I have prayer group with few brothers before I took this picture. I love the environment and also the temperature over there. The weather is really wet and it rains often so it is pretty dangerous when bring DSLR camera without water proof bag.

Taking picture of landscape in this condition is pretty easy, I always put my focus on nearest land, which is the trees area, and I increase my f-number to gain sharpness of my background, and I wants to get ‘blue’ feeling in my skies, so I increase my shuttle speed which force me to increase my ISO to make the exposure correct.

High ISO makes my photo looks grainy, which the effect that I do really looking for, and set my white balance around 5k area to make it ‘cold’ effect. Thus with this technique I manage to obtain the picture above, and with little correction in saturation in the lightroom (decreasing it around -2) and wallahhhh… My photo is achieve the effect in my mind.
