Important of Composition in Photography

In photography, composition is the soul of the image. Well composed photo is the basic fundamental of every amazing photo. Composition is something that really hard to learn as different angle and places required different composition to bring something good out of nothing. If you are master in balancing light in your photo, have great exposure, even very focus photo but the composition the part that lack, it does not help to produce great photo. Good photograph can produces superb photo from boring places, dusty room, messy garage, and even dirty kitchen.

The most basic and famous rule of composition is the rule of third. Rule of third is being widely used for many published photo in the magazine and also in any high profile media as it gives very good composition and not too boring, by boring I mean if the photographer always put the main subject in the middle, regardless everything.

The main concept of rule of third is you put your subject in the third frame of your photo if you taking portrait, if you take landscape phot, divide horizon two third of sky and one third of land or two third of land one third of sky. This will enhance your deep of photo and increase your composition skills.

I often use this technique and I really loves my picture more, so what is your favorite composition technique?

I honestly had never heard of the rule of thirds until my music lecturer tried to talk to me about it(I was ignoring him cause i was angry, and this was the only way he knew how to reach out to me :P ) Anyways. Here's a belief I hold, cause I'm not into the whole rules of photography. I never started out that way.

    :) Try painting, it helps.

Ya, good one, I learn that when I attend a photograph learning workshop once, good share :) ; so that you can see the whole view instead of an object in near distance. Or else it will look the same everywhere , if we just put the object in the whole picture everytime. Is a common mistake that most of the people do if they don't know the concept

i actually employed this technique using my old hardy Olympus point-and-shoot camera, not long ago before i saw your post.
luckily it features the grid for me to practice shooting with with technique.
i found that the pictures taken are much better and meaningful with alot of perspective :)
however if you decide not to follow this rule, it's called 'creativity' :)

This rule is the most basic one, there are lots of technique and tips other than this and how you use it is to make your picture more outstanding from others. :)

    Glad you like this post.
